The club grounds combine open areas, woodland, gullies and a semi-permanent creek to create a varied and challenging archery environment.
More Than Just a Range
Caboolture Bowmen's club grounds are on 10 acres of medium-density woodlands just west of Caboolture.
A semi-permanent creek and several gullies, together with light and shade areas, provide plenty of scope for setting difficult shots.
Numerous trails through the bush allow almost unlimited variation in the setting of courses, so every shoot can provide a new experience.
On shoot days the canteen provides great lunches at modest prices, so there is no need to bring your own food.
The clubhouse is the social hub of the grounds and a place for members and visitors to catch up before and after a shoot.

The permanent practice range is available all year round to club members.
Practice butts and paper targets provide a convenient place to work on form, equipment and consistency.
Natural Bush Courses
The creek, gullies, light and shade areas and numerous bush trails allow targets to be positioned in many different ways.
This variety means that a familiar course can still present a different challenge from one shoot to the next.
Meet the Targets
3D shoots use life-like foam animal targets placed throughout the natural bush setting. The current club site highlights several of the targets visitors can expect to encounter.

Understanding the Scoring Zones
The scoring zones are outlined on the animal targets. Every part of the animal outside the 8 zone, except the horns, scores as a 5.
Missing the animal completely, or hitting the horns, scores 0.
